2020 Outdoor Season

The 2020 Outdoor Track Club Season will take place between the months of June, July, and August. Scheduled club practices will mostly be “technique” based as we have a mix of athletes that will not compete during the summer season, but just want to work on practicing and getting better in their event disciplines, and athletes that will compete during the summer season. Any athletes that will be competing during the summer outdoor season will be given additional workouts to do on their own, or as groups, on the non-scheduled days.

Below is a TENTATIVE SCHEDULE for how Coach Ben will be leading RPTC practices for the 2020 Summer Outdoor Season. This is subject to change as we get closer to the season.

Events will be coached at different times throughout each day as to keep more of a focus on technical work and specific practice for each event.

Various age groups will practice on different days as well with Middle School and High School age athletes practicing together and Elementary School age athletes will practice separately. Any Adult RPTC Members should contact Coach Ben at risingphoenixtc@gmail.com to schedule practice times.

The Scheduled “Makeup” Sessions are for athletes who cannot make a practice at a certain time or day and can schedule a “makeup” practice with Coach Ben during these times. This time can be used for any event group. We would like to keep the age groups on the same days for “makeup” sessions, but some exceptions may be made. In order to schedule a “makeup” session, athletes will just need to contact Coach Ben and let him know the day prior to the session.

Once the Team-Organized Meet Schedule is completely set and all of Coach Ben’s summer plans are made, the entire practice schedule for the full summer will be uploaded here and on the RPTC Google Calendar as well.

We understand that summer is a very busy time for travel, vacations, and summer jobs as well. Athletes will only have team-organized practices a max of 3 days a week with the option to receive written workouts on the other days of the week that their age group is not scheduled to practice. Practices are not required to compete, nor are athletes required to compete to practice.

Below is a TENTATIVE MEET SCHEDULE that the RPTC will be competing in over the summer. Many meets and events for the summer season have not been posted yet, so this will change as we add meets and events get updated.
