Cannot say how proud we are of these five outstanding athletes! They finished up a few great days of competing at the USATF Region 13 Junior Olympic Championships yesterday and each one of them performed admirably! We had several lifetime bests set and three NATIONAL meet qualifiers. Jaiden Lemberger set a personal best in the heptathlon and broke several of her club records in multiple events. Aaron Luke ran a lifetime best 100 meter dash in 11.31 seconds and placed 7th in the Region for 15-16 year olds. Mathias Patrick set a personal record in the 400 hurdles and qualified for the national meet in the 110 hurdles for 15-16's. Lane Maher PR'd in both the 400 hurdmrs and 110 hurdles and qualified for nationals in the 400 hurdles for 17-18's. Redmond O'Hanlon threw up near his PR and qualified for the national meet in the javelin. WAY TO GO RPTC!! You guys all competed with heart and guts and represented the club, yourselves, and Pendleton outstandingly

Redmond O'Hanlon qualifies for Regionals in both the javelin and shot put! Redmond placed third in the javelin with a new RPTC record throw of 127 feet, 8.75 inches, just a couple of feet short of his lifetime best. He then carried that energy into the shot put and PR'd by NINE FEET with a new club record throw of 40 feet, 3 inches! Redmond placed 6th in the shot put. Day Four start with Redmond in the discus tomorrow. All five of our athletes will be competing tomorrow throughout the day.
RPTC's Aaron Luke qualified for tomorrow's final of the Boys Age Division 15-16 100 meter dash in a time of 11.37 seconds at USATF Oregon Association Junior Olympic Championships. Great work, A-A-Ron!
